Throughout my time at CSULB, I have had the wonderful opportunity to offer my early public relations work with the Department of Housing & Residential Life. During that time, I curated an updated backgrounder, biography for the department's director, a fact sheet, and a press release for the newly renovated Parkside promenade.

While reviewing the H&RL website, I noticed there was no centralized staff directory and no biography for the department director. Recognizing the importance of this, I researched the director’s background and created a detailed, engaging biography.

H&RL offers themed on- and off-campus villages that help build community. My fact sheet highlights these communities, along with dining options, key statistics, and the overall resident experience—providing details not fully covered on the website.

Press Release

In Winter 2025, I prepared a press release for Housing & Residential Life about upcoming housing applications. Released in spring, it informed students and parents on how and when to apply, while also offering tips and additional details not found on the website.

After working with the organization, I developed insights on how it could improve. I expressed these in an op-ed highlighting the high demand for on-campus housing and limited availability for returning students, combining personal perspective, statistics, and insider insight.
